PO Juhlin

Chairman Advisory board

PO co-founded Scandinavian Care in 1995 together with the late Dr. Göran Hellers. As former CEO of Scandinavian Care, he played a key role in developing the Scandinavian Care Group and establishing multiple Gamma Knife and cancer centers worldwide. He brings extensive expertise in project and operational management from his executive leadership experience. In addition to serving as a Board Member, he is also Chairman of the Advisory Board.

STEFAN DOROSZKOWSKI

Operational Advisor

Stefan Doroszkowski is a healthcare executive and former Managing Director of Amethyst Radiotherapy UK, a provider of Gamma Knife radiosurgery. He has over 30 years of experience in healthcare consulting and management and holds a Master’s in Health Policy and Administration.

MAGNUS ERICSSON

General Manager Advisor

Magnus Ericsson is an international healthcare executive with a strong background in medical technology, hospital operations, and large-scale healthcare infrastructure projects. He holds BSc degrees in Medical Technology, Electrical Engineering, and Linguistics. He led the technical setup of a cancer center in Ghana for Scandinavian Care Group, contributed to major equipment procurement at the New Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, and served for seven years as COO of hospitals in Dubai. Magnus currently holds the position of Deputy General Director at Hanoi French Hospital in Vietnam.

PEDRO GORDO

Operational Advisor

Pedro has an Engineer’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in international management. He is an experienced business entrepreneur and has assisted Scandinavian Care in various projects. He is currently the CEO of the Gamma Knife center in Lisbon, Portugal, a center he co-founded with Scandinavian Care and others in 2008.

KAROL SIKORA

Medical Advisor

Professor Sikora studied medical science and biochemistry at Cambridge, England. He brings a wealth of healthcare experience from his many leading positions, e.g. Professor of Cancer Medicine, Imperial College, Hammersmith Hospital, London, Dean and Professor of Medicine, University of Buckingham Medical School and Chair, Scientific Advisory Board, Source Biosciences PLC.

JIM JOHANSSON

Financial / M&A Advisor

Jim is an experienced executive in the healthcare industry, playing a key role in driving strategic growth and operational excellence. He has a Master in Science, Accounting and Finance from Schoolf of Businesss, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden and has previously held business development and financial roles in GHP Specialty Care AB and Capio. He is currently the CFO at Atleva Specialistvård.

AMR RIFAAT

Operational Advisor

Dr Rifaat is an Egyptian-Swedish citizen holding a doctorate in engineering (Tech. Lic., KTH, Stockholm, Sweden). He is the co-founder of Gamma Knife Center Cairo, together with, among others, Scandinavian Care. He served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the center from its establishment in 2001 until 2019. Since then, he has been a member of the Board of Directors, supervising the center’s development and operations.

LARS WEBER

Technical Advisor

Lars is a medical physicist, and associate professor, with many years of experience in radiotherapy as well as radiology. He specializes in personalized and adaptive radiotherapy, with a focus on optimizing clinical processes for multi-modality imaging and motion management. Lars played a key role as technical advisor in the establishment of the Sweden Ghana Medical Center in Accra in 2012, co-founded by Scandinavian Care.

MICHELLE COOK

Commercial Advisor

With over 35 years in radiation therapy, Michelle Cook has held diverse roles spanning clinical practice, customer education, product management, and executive leadership in the industry. As Vice President of Field Operations for Europe, Russia & CIS at Varian Medical Systems, Michelle Cook led teams to expand access to advanced cancer care. Academically, Michelle holds a Diploma of The College of Radiographers (DCRT), an M.Sc. in Medical Radiation Physics from Brunel University, an MBA from City University/Ashridge Business School, and the Financial Times Non-Executive Director Advanced Professional Diploma. Prior to joining Varian, she contributed her expertise to MDS Nordion in Canada, Helax AB in Sweden, and two of the largest London NHS Radiotherapy Centres. Michelle is passionate about ensuring equitable access to cancer care she believes that success is achieved through the collective efforts of dedicated teams, and she continues to advocate for progress and excellence in the field.
