The Scandinavian Care History

Scandinavian Care started out as a pure medical consultancy company in 1996 by a surgeon (head of the Surgical Department at Karolinska University Hospital South at that time) and a management consultant (former CEO of a management consultant company).

In 2001, Scandinavian Care was contracted to plan and establish the Gamma Knife Center at Nasser Institute in Cairo, Egypt, in which the company also made its first investment. The business model of combining consultancy and investments to provide modern cancer care in a sustainable way soon met great international interest.

In 2013, Scandinavian Care decided to scale up its operation and focus on cancer care,
